- ➤ A study from Feeding America shows more people in North Alabama do not have enough food, with 187,180 people, including 44,860 children, affected in the Food Bank of North Alabama area. CEO Shirley Schofield said rising need + federal cuts have made it harder for the food bank to serve the community and urged locals to support food programs. News 19
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Morgan County Health Department released its May 26-31 health inspection scores for food and lodging places, with scores ranging from 76 to 100. Three sites got perfect scores—critical issues at other sites were addressed. WAAY-TV

- ➤ Les Stuedeman retired yesterday after 30 seasons as head coach of UAH softball, finishing with 1,297 wins and nine conference titles. Associate head coach Melanie Carter will take over as head coach for the 2025-26 season. Rocket City Now
