Tuesday was the deadline for the prosecution’s response to former Decatur Police Department Officer Mac Marquette’s self-defense appeal in his murder case stemming from the fatal shooting of Stephen Perkins during a truck repossession— the Alabama Attorney General’s Office asked the appeals court for 21 extra days to file its response due to complex ongoing cases.
Decatur Police arrested Lakesha Dyer on May 30 during a traffic stop in Birmingham for retail theft at Ulta Beauty on the 1200 block of Point Mallard Parkway after merchandise worth over $3,800 was reported missing—warrants remain for Kadieza Timmons and Ronisha Timmons.
