- ➤ Tuesday was the deadline for the prosecution’s response to former Decatur Police Department Officer Mac Marquette’s self-defense appeal in his murder case stemming from the fatal shooting of Stephen Perkins during a truck repossession— the Alabama Attorney General’s Office asked the appeals court for 21 extra days to file its response due to complex ongoing cases. - ➤ Decatur Police arrested Lakesha Dyer on May 30 during a traffic stop in Birmingham for retail theft at Ulta Beauty on the 1200 block of Point Mallard Parkway after merchandise worth over $3,800 was reported missing—warrants remain for Kadieza Timmons and Ronisha Timmons. WAAY-TV
