- ➤ Decatur's 41st annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place Thursday, Jan. 1 at noon at Ingalls Harbor & will bring locals together to welcome the New Year. Decatur Daily
- ➤ Brad Johnson volunteers most days at Hands Across Decatur to help the city's homeless community by fielding calls, recruiting volunteers, cooking meals, and shopping for groceries. Decatur Daily

- ➤ Black ice is a nearly invisible layer that can catch drivers off guard on bridges and in shaded road sections early in winter mornings.
