- ➤ The Committee on Church Cooperation said this year's Thanksgiving meal giveaway will be smaller than in past years—local nonprofits will still help hand out food in the coming days. Decatur Daily
- ➤ News 19 featured Woodstock from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society—a friendly dog who loves water, toys and playing with other dogs but is better suited for an adult-only home due to his excitement with cats. News 19
- ➤ Hands Across Decatur is asking for extra volunteers and winter gear (like coats and long johns) to help care for the homeless as colder weather sets in. Executive Director Sue Terrell said the shelter served over 3,000 meals last month and will need extra support to keep its extended hours open (donations may be dropped off at 1027 5th Ave. SE).
