AAA reported that as of November 10, Decatur's gas prices averaged $2.57 for regular fuel, lower than Huntsville's $2.64 and Florence-Muscle Shoals' $2.60, while mid-grade and premium were $3.05 and $3.42 compared to national averages of $3.07, $3.56, and $3.92; the report offered fuel-saving tips—such as reducing idling and driving at steady speeds—to help local drivers lower costs.
