The Decatur Police Department will host its annual Fall Festival on Oct.

24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fort Decatur — 610 Fourth Ave. S.E.

Hands Across Decatur, a nonprofit helping the homeless, is struggling financially as poverty in the city increases.

The organization is working to secure more funding to keep its services running.

Decatur’s City Hall Lawn will host the annual River Clay Fine Arts Festival from October 25—26, where visitors will enjoy live metal forging demonstrations, student art displays, an art market, kids’ activities, food sampling and live music.

The festival will begin with a preview party on October 24.
