- ➤ Brandi Breeden, founder of Clothe Our Kids of North Alabama, stepped down after nine years of collecting clothing for over 10,000 children in Decatur. The organization will continue serving local kids under new leadership announced soon. Decatur Daily
- ➤ Friends and family in Decatur gathered to celebrate the life of 16-year-old Alice Haughaboo, a junior at Austin High School who fought melanoma for four years. - ➤ Gov. Kay Ivey announced Alabama’s new Department of Workforce in Montgomery on Thursday and said it will offer job training, career services, transportation support and veteran assistance—partnering with state agencies to create a centralized resource for both employers and job seekers.
