- ➤ Eagle Consulting—based in Decatur—was named a finalist in the 51-100 Employees category for the 2025 Alabama Small Business of the Year Awards, presented by the Business Council of Alabama and the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, September 29, AAA reported that gas prices in Decatur averaged $2.67 for regular gas—which is below the state average of $2.76—while Huntsville and Florence-Muscle Shoals posted slightly higher prices. Rocket City Now

- ➤ Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb called a lateral play to left tackle Kadyn Proctor against Georgia because he trusted his players after Proctor proved his ability in practice—Proctor made an 11-yard catch for a first down before the team scored on the following play. AL.com
- ➤ Alabama football won against Georgia but allowed big outside runs that defensive coordinator Kane Wommack called unacceptable—he said the team must fix the issues before its Saturday game against Vanderbilt. AL.com
