- ➤ AAA reported on September 22 that regular gas prices in North-Alabama cities were below the national average. Huntsville had $2.75 per gallon while Decatur and the Florence-Muscle Shoals area recorded prices of $2.70 and $2.71 respectively. Rocket City Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Alabama cities must decide by October 1 if they will collect a 10-cent per milliliter tax on vape products, while Decatur said it will collect the tax for local projects without changing business rules—sticking to the state law that already planned for the tax. Decatur's revenue manager Lori Rossetti explained that the move keeps more funds in the community for improvements. News 19
