- ➤ Calhoun's Advanced Technology Center expansion is open and serves 1,400 students per semester, and Mason Simmons—an instructor—lined up a metal tube on her manual lathe to reshape it into a dead center this week. Decatur Daily

- ➤ Decatur Morgan Hospital acquired a new PET-CT scanner in November and has used it for advanced heart and cancer scans—it will expand its use for early Alzheimer’s detection in the coming months. Decatur Daily
