- ➤ City officials in Decatur said traffic signals at three intersections on 6th Avenue will be replaced with stop signs as part of a roadway and landscaping project. The work will begin on September 15 and signals will flash for at least one week before removal—drivers should use caution. News 19
- ➤ Parks and Recreation director Hunter Allen has expanded the hours for city recreation facilities and parks to give residents more leisure time. The schedule change will go into effect soon and is expected to boost facility use — a key measure in his early initiatives. Decatur Daily
