- ➤ Decatur Parks & Recreation is building a new 100,000-square-foot rec center with Olympic-sized swimming lanes, a walking track, and basketball courts while also upgrading softball fields near Austin High and adding batting cages at Wilson Morgan Park. Director Hunter Allen said local users will get first priority and that a mobile app for league registration and payments will launch by the end of September—with the rec center set to be completed next summer.
