- ➤ On Friday, Decatur Police said a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Bird Springs Road SW left 59-year-old Thomas Foster Walker dead after he lost control and left the roadway—police continue the investigation. News 19
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Christopher Bono, a 54 year old man from Crystal Lake in Illinois, was arrested in Priceville on drug charges during a traffic stop on Highway 67 near Price Mountain Drive around 11:50 p.m. on Jul 12 after officers used a K9 unit that led to the discovery of cocaine and drug paraphernalia—he now faces charges for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with bond set at $12,000. - ➤ Priceville police arrested 23 year old Tyrese Nashad Hamilton from Decatur around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday on Garth Road after officers observed signs of drug impairment and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a vehicle search; he is held without bond at Morgan County Jail and faces multiple charges (he has federal felony warrants for prior drug offenses). - ➤ More than 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies were given out at the 14th annual Stuff the Bus event at Calhoun Community College on Saturday—benefiting students aged 12 to 18 and supporting 300 families with free groceries in under an hour.
