- ➤ On Friday, an Athens man ran from a K-9 unit in Falkville and was arrested by police who found meth, drug paraphernalia, over $6,000 in cash and two firearms during a search — he is charged with possession with intent to distribute and attempting to elude law enforcement and was booked in Morgan County Jail on a $12,000 bond. - ➤ Priceville PD stopped a 38-year-old man named Joshua Heath Russell on Thursday at 11:30 p.m. near the Highway 67 and Robinson Street intersection and found fentanyl, methamphetamine, other controlled drugs, money and a firearm — he was arrested and charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia and is now held at Morgan County Jail with a $95,000 bond. - ➤ AlDOT announced the SR-67 resurfacing project in Decatur is advancing between Danville Road and SR-24/Gordon Terry Parkway — after finishing through lanes between US-31/Sixth Avenue and Danville Road, Grayson Carter and Son Contracting will begin patching the northern segment and pave intersections on the southern side. Drivers will face lane closures nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and the five-mile, $3.3 million project is expected to finish in early fall. News 19
