- ➤ Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Decatur man 37-year-old Matthew Martinez on a second-degree domestic violence charge after he fled a shooting near NW Aday Road around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday that left a victim with a non-life-threatening wound treated on scene and took him into custody at 6:47 p.m.—he is held on a $75,000 bond. - ➤ Tuesday in a Morgan County courtroom, the wife of a Hartselle chiropractor accused of poisoning her testified about their troubled marriage—while a police chief testified about details of the case. Decatur Daily
- ➤ Defense attorneys are arguing that Kendall Rucker, accused of killing David Gullatte and Sharonda Bouldin on Clearview Street in 2018, should not face the death penalty due to his intellectual disability — his motion will be heard on June 23 at 1:30 p.m. WAAY-TV
