  • Fifteen-year-old Emma Landrum has led a project to place markers on unmarked veterans' graves at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Decatur—honoring forgotten heroes and paying tribute to her late father. The project, which began as a Girl Scout Bronze Award assignment, has already placed ten markers and will raise funds for $435 marble slabs to mark additional veterans' graves.  Rocket City Now

CRIME NEWS

  • An Ohio man, 29-year-old D’Angelo Antonio Bates, was arrested by Priceville police early Monday—his car was stopped on I-65 near mile marker 332—and found with over two pounds of marijuana, more than two ounces of psilocybin mushrooms laced with fentanyl and a firearm in a spare tire compartment.  Rocket City Now
