  • Decatur Police arrested 41-year-old Jonathan Sparks after a local business reported a forged check was cashed on May 6 — he faces charges for possessing a forged instrument and third-degree theft and was booked on a $2,000 bond at Morgan County Jail on May 20.  News 19

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City of Decatur Street Department crews will begin mosquito spraying on Tuesday, May 27, and will spray five days a week between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.—residents will receive updates about their zones soon.  News 19
  • Decatur’s Street Department will begin its annual summer mosquito spraying on Tuesday, May 27th—officials say the measure aims to curb mosquito populations ahead of peak season.  Decatur Daily
