  • United Launch Alliance is preparing a future launch of the Decatur-built Vulcan rocket for Amazon while it investigates its dwindling Atlas V supply (details pending) and plans to secure additional hardware before the launch.  Decatur Daily

CULTURE NEWS

  • Rock The South returns at The Fields at Decatur from June 11 to 13 with a lineup headlined by Jason Aldean, Riley Green and Zach Top. Tickets are on sale now — prepare for an exciting festival.  WAAY-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Decatur school board approved new administrator appointments during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday at the Central Office; the changes aim to strengthen school leadership in the district.  Decatur Daily

SPORTS NEWS

  • Hartselle and Hazel Green baseball teams will play a best of three semifinal series today at Sims-Booth Field starting at 5:00 p.m. + the winner will advance to the state championship round, with Game 3 scheduled for Friday at 5:00 p.m. if needed.  Rocket City Now
