  • Former Decatur police officer Mac Marquette’s murder trial was postponed from June 9 to Sept. 15—he requested the delay while an appellate review continues.  Decatur Daily
  • A Decatur man was charged Thursday with assaulting and attempting to strangle his ex-girlfriend last week — an affidavit signed by a Priceville police officer detailed the incident.  Decatur Daily
  • Truck driver John Walter McAdams is accused of fatally striking 22-year-old William Hardrick and causing six accidents on a 27-mile stretch of I-65—he is scheduled for a bond hearing Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Limestone County while he remains in custody on charges including murder and impaired driving.  Rocket City Now
