- ➤ The Morgan County District Attorney’s Office said they intend to seek the death penalty against Decatur man Kendall Rashaid Rucker, who faces seven capital murder charges for shooting David Gullatte and Sharonda Bouldin in 2018+ his trial is scheduled for April 30. News 19
- ➤ Decatur police said John Daniel Scott Jr., arrested on April 15 for an outstanding Morgan County Failure to Appear warrant amid social media backlash, died after showing signs of distress in jail and receiving hospital treatment—ALEA and the FBI are now investigating the incident. WAAY-TV
- ➤ The Morgan County District Attorney's Office announced on April 14 that the state is seeking the death penalty for Kendall Rucker — accused of fatally shooting David Gullatte and Sharonda Bouldin at a Decatur home on Clearview Street in a 2018 capital murder case. WAAY-TV
