  • Eleven entrepreneurs from North Alabama pitched at Singin’ River Live — a venue in Florence — during the fifth annual Singing River Launch Tank competition. Winners included CastOff with $10,000, and other finalists received between $1,000 and $5,000 to help grow their startups.  WAAY-TV

  • Alabama officials invite residents to join the CoCoRaHS Rain Gauge Rally to help track rainfall for better drought mapping. Volunteers can sign up online to record daily rain and dry days as conditions remain very dry in North Alabama.  WAAY-TV
