- ➤ Hundreds came to Milton Frank Stadium on Tuesday to watch 770 athletes compete in the Madison County Special Olympics track and field events. More than one thousand volunteers helped support the games — winners will go on to the state games in May. WAAY-TV

- ➤ ULA hosted a media tour at its Decatur rocket production facility where Atlas and Vulcan rockets are built, and CEO Tory Bruno said the half-billion-dollar modernization has automated 80% of the work without reducing the workforce. - ➤ A Montgomery man with a violent criminal history was stopped by Priceville police Monday at 9 p.m. near Point Mallard Parkway and Marsha Avenue where officers found unprescribed medication, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded firearm in his vehicle, and the 24-year-old (Jamari Aikens) was booked into Morgan County Jail with a no bond hold pending his probation review. - ➤ The Decatur City Council is considering reopening its police chief application process after two of the three final candidates dropped out. They will interview Tory Mack from the Birmingham Police today at 3 p.m. at the Turner Surles Community Center (council members believe a longer application period may help bring in more qualified candidates). - ➤ The Morgan County Health Department released new inspection scores for food and lodging establishments inspected April 7–12. Decatur sites such as Moe’s Original BBQ, which scored an 89 after a mold issue was abated by cleaning, and Priceville High School, which earned a perfect 100, showed a mix of compliance and critical violations—other issues included residue on soda nozzles and food kept at improper temperatures.
