  • Decatur Planning Commission approved a 20-acre Section 8 housing project west of 1243 2nd Street SW after residents raised concerns during Tuesday’s meeting about potential neighborhood impacts (including comparisons to past high-density developments).  Rocket City Now

  • Alabama A&M football players Travaunta Abner and Amahni Spinks will showcase their skills at Magic City Pro Day at UAB’s Legacy Pavilion Thursday at 10:55 a.m.—Abner, a standout last season, and Huntsville native Spinks, who was invited to the National Scouting Combine, will compete in several drills.  Rocket City Now
  • Legendary wrestler Dennis 'Loverboy' Condrey died at 74, leaving a legacy that influenced today's tag team wrestling as AEW World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood noted his lasting impact.
