A Moulton man was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine after Morgan County Sheriff’s Office agents stopped his vehicle in Decatur last week — they seized 29 grams of the drug.

Phillip Jerome Cartee—a Hartselle man—was arrested on March 22 on three counts of child sexual abuse and first-degree sodomy against a child under 12, with charges noting the abuse happened before July 1, and he is held without bond pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.

A Decatur man was arrested last week+ he faces second degree domestic violence charges after allegedly attacking the mother of his children, according to the Decatur Police Department.

AAA reported that on March 24, Decatur drivers paid an average of $2.68 per gallon for regular gasoline while Huntsville drivers paid $2.75 per gallon and mid-grade and premium prices were slightly higher.
