- ➤ At their final fiscal year meeting on March 14, Cassidy Chandler of State Farm Insurance was named the Greater Morgan County Builders Association Commodore of the Month at a gathering held at AMF River City Lanes. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said deputies sought information on 52-year-old Phillip Ray Vincent—wanted on three outstanding warrants—after he fled from officers in Falkville and Eva. WAAY-TV
- ➤ The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals denied former Decatur police officer Mac Bailey Marquette’s request to postpone his immunity hearing and remove Judge Charles Elliott, so he will face the judge next week and his trial will start on April 7 if immunity is not granted. WAAY-TV
- ➤ A Madison County father filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Nickarious McConnico and unnamed parties after his 4-year-old son Kaiden Everson was killed in an accidental shooting when he found a loaded firearm left unsecured on a coffee table at a Huntsville home on April 28th, 2024 — McConnico was charged with criminally negligent homicide in May 2024.
