  • Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce hosted Breakfast & Biz on March 12, featuring nine students from four local schools who shared their business plans and received feedback from local business leaders; Redstone Federal Credit Union presented the professional development session.  Decatur Chamber of Commerce

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Decatur City Council approved three AI sorting machines and a new baler at the materials recovery facility, a move expected to double recycling capacity and boost efficiency for residents (the equipment will be fully operational within four to six weeks).  Rocket City Now

  • Calhoun Community College is planning to move its baseball and softball fields to Northeast Decatur + the city and Decatur Utilities are helping with the project; more details on funding and timing will be shared soon.  Decatur Daily
