- ➤ The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber is accepting applications for its Commodore Program starting in April and offering members a chance to mentor new participants while building local business relationships. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with AIDT and Career Connect will host a hiring event on Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 3 – 6 p.m. at Ingalls Harbor Pavilion where over 20 local employers plan to connect with job seekers and print digital resumes. Decatur Chamber of Commerce
- ➤ AAA reported Tuesday, Feb. 3 that gas prices in Decatur are Regular $2.48, Mid $2.95, and Premium $3.32, which is below the national average of Regular gas at $2.88. Similar trends appeared in Huntsville and Florence. Rocket City Now

- ➤ Briana Caudle, a K-3 teacher at Chestnut Grove Elementary, was named the Chamber’s SuperStar Teacher for January 2026. Her award included a $150 gift card for the classroom, a $50 card, and a $1,000 grant from the Chamber’s One Vision Foundation (sponsored by Hubbard and Drake General-Mechanical Contractors, Inc.).
