- ➤ Austinville Elementary School music teacher Rachel Harbin was recognized as outstanding young music educator of the year — receiving her honor at the Alabama Music Educators Association Conference last week. Decatur Daily
- ➤ Educators from Decatur, Hartselle and Morgan County Schools toured 3M on Jan. 22 during the Chamber’s 3rd Annual Industry Day for Teachers. The tour aimed to bring modern manufacturing practices to classrooms (sponsored by Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, 3M, Jackson Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical and Septic, and Redstone Federal Credit Union).
